OKie Dokie,

Not a lot I can tell you about the convention except that the guests were great fun!
I'm waiting for the guys that went to get back to me with their version of events!

Couple of highlights I saw from backstage was Rachel Luttrell singing. She has a GREAT voice. Her other half Loyd Bateman went on stage with her on the Sunday and did some stunts with a member of the audience, Paul McGillion directing the 'show'.

I was in most of the photo sessions watching the guests or doing security or moving the guests around all weekend so as I say, I didn't get to see an awful lot. I do know that Gary Jones rocks (those of you that remember he was my first ever interview for Stargate Alpha) and that the surprise comedy duo of Dan Payne and James Lafazanos was one of the highlights. Alex was a true star with the fans, keeping them going on Sunday morning and late into the night with all the con dances. Paul McGillion kept everyone in stitches switching backwards and forwards in a scottish accent and a canadian accent. Who knew?

I had the great honour of meeting a lot of the Stargate Alpha peeps as I was shadowing Paul around on the meet and greet on the Friday evening and I have to say they can drink for Britiain! But they did behave themselves! Thanks to everyone I met that weekend and to Sammy who decided to debut her directorial efforts in a rendition of '500 Miles' with several of the con attendees for the guests and the organisers. Have to give BigMick a mention and Oshy, they kept me sane of an evening when I was flagging from no food and no sleep! And to Denara and Jazzie. Who knew I could be embarrased so easily and way to offend a guest by talking to me again! Just kidding! I'll let them tell that story!

The Starhyke preview was a roaring success, many people were 'Starhyked' and Jeremy Bulloch and a few from the new show were there on the panel along with the show's creator Andrew Dymond and the producer Jonathan Brown.
