Josh, you were a fantastic friend
We will never forget you
You were funny, smart, kind
Always cheering us up
You were a good friend
Through tough times and good times
You were always there
You will be missed

Jamey, you were a loving friend
You were a kind, caring friend
You helped people out,
Just like they helped you out
Cheering people up
Even though you were misunderstood
You will be missed dearly

Peggy, you were a character
You were opinionated
Very smart
Very loving
You were like a bulldog
When you made someone your friend you gave them your love
Nothing would stop you from protecting your friend if you could
You gave all to your family and friends
You will be missed

Cody, you were a smart young boy
You always cared about your friends and family
You gave your love and friendship to help people out
You were a pool shark
You were older then your years
You were a loving, caring, kind, Son and friend
You made people happy and laugh
You had a charm like no other
You will be missed very dearly

D’Nene, you were a lovely lady
You helped people out
You were there friend
You were an admirable person
You had a heart
You will be missed

Alma’c, you were a wonderful person
You were an artist, a nice one to
You did some lovely paintings
You were a great friend
You helped people out when you could
You were a warm hearted person
You will be missed

Vampire Micheal, you were an outstanding friend
You helped people
You were a shining person in the dark world
With a wonderful heart
And a young mind
You will be missed

These are for all the people who will be missed, and that were good friends
May there souls rest in peace.

Is there anybody else that has passed on, please let me know, I'll add them to my poem
"I believe humanity was born from conflict. Maybe that's why in all of us lives a dark side. Some of us embrace it. Some have no choice. The rest of us fight it. In the end, it's as natural as the air we breathe. At some point, we're forced to face the truth. Ourselves"

Lou:
Those who have passed from this realm live on in the hearts of those who knew them. Though they no longer watch over us in life, they do so from their eternal home in the stars. May the Goddess watch over and protect them always.

"A roof to keep out the rain. Four walls to keep out the wind. Floors to keep out the cold. Yes, but a home is more than that. It is the laugh of a baby, the song of a mother the strength of a father. Warmth of loving hearts, light from happy eyes, kindness, loyalty, comradeship. Home is first school... for the young ones where they learn what is right, what is good, and what is kind. Where they go for comfort when they are hurt or sick. Where joy is shared and sorrow eased. Where fathers and mothers are respected and loved. Where children are wanted. Where the simplest food is good enough for kings because it is earned. Where money is not so important as loving-kindness. Where even the teakettle sings from happiness. That is home" - Ernestine Schumann-Heink

Indeed you have missed Morganna/Borg, she was a friend, a warming spirit that brought light and laughter to all who had the privelage of knowing her. Morganna gone but never forgotten.

I only had just joined the old SGC when we lost Borg but I did have the honor of talking to her on the DL. She was one of thr first ppl I had talked to when I first arrived and she had become and instant friend. She is and always will be missed

D'Nene was also a good friend. If I didn't see her on the DL for a while she would comms me and ask how I was doing and would make me check in. She made me laugh at times when I needed to and when no one else was able to and she always had a RBF waiting for me when she did see me. She will also always be missed.

Peggyann. only Peggy could get me riled up one minute and laughing in the next. Converstions with her were always interesting and fun. She could be opinionated at times but that's just who she was and she was loved that way. I miss talking to her and laughing about Teal'c staff weapon. She will always be missed.

Tempest: I knew him mostly form the PL here. I am sorry I did not get to know him better and was sad to hear of his passing. I know he had many friends here and will be forever missed and remembered.

It's been a whole 8 years now that I've been a member of the SGC ( both here and the old site) and I have made many friends. Some of who I've lost contact with. I may not always have gotten along with them but they were still friends and do still mean alot to me whether they have passed on or have just moved on.

Just a poem I found whilst reading a female Marine's blog over on Blogger.

It's by John Donne, and kinda fitting...

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell;
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally,
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.

There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go.

Had someone asked me almost ten years ago if TRUE friendships could ever come of fan sites like the old SGC site or this one, and I mean true lasting meaningful practically family friendships, I would have said no. I am glad I wasn't asked the question....there have been many a person I have met from the old site, and some from here, that I am honored to call friend....

Over the years, some have moved on, slipped off the radar sort of thing, but I keep thinking about and wonder what they're up to......and some have passed away. I would like to think that those people are still with me, walking with me in my daily life...occasionally Gibbs slapping me for doing something stupid....but with me.....with all of us....

*raises glass* to friendship....to friends both present and absent....to the memories that will never fade with time....

(raises glass) To those lost, but never forgotten, and much loved still. May your memory live on in those who knew and love you. Amen.

Dan Smith:

I met Dan Smith on the SGC Site. In RL he was a Firefighter.
He always treated me very well on that Site. He made me feel welcome.
Do not know if anyone remembers him at all,but I do. He died in the line of Duty. It broke my hart to learn of his passing. His roommate informed me about his passing. I will miss him greaty.

RIP My Friend.....
